Over time, cutlery becomes coated with dirt and food debris.
This often happens due to poor care and superficial cleaning.
But the problem can be corrected with the help of additional cheap components that should be used when soaking forks and spoons.
The most versatile remedy is soda.
You need to take only two tablespoons of this component per two liters of hot water to soak the utensils.
A more effective remedy will be obtained if you add another 2 spoons of salt and a spoon of citric acid.
In such a solution, forks made of stainless steel, aluminum and nickel silver can be kept for up to half an hour.
Then all that remains is to wipe them with a clean sponge and then rinse them in clean water.
If you need to lighten devices that have darkened over time, it is recommended to prepare an acidic solution.
For every liter of water you need to add 100 ml of vinegar and a few drops of lemon juice.
The mixture should be brought to a boil and turned off. Forks and spoons can be left in this mixture for an hour.
