Why Clothes Smell Bad After Washing: Here's the Solution

It doesn’t matter what kind of washing machine is installed in your bathroom – the most expensive one or the budget one: no one is immune from the appearance of an unpleasant smell coming from washed items.

To eliminate such a problem, you will first have to find the reason for its appearance.

Dirty car

Sometimes the appearance of a repulsive “aroma” is influenced by stagnant water, scale and other contaminants that have accumulated in the washing machine.

To clean the device, wipe the rubber seals, filters and powder compartment with a solution of 0.5 l of clean water and 1 tablespoon of vinegar, then run the machine without laundry and detergent.

Overloaded drum

In order to remove stains and odors that are already present on items, they need to have enough space inside the washing machine.

Never exceed the drum loading capacity specified in the washing machine instructions.

Error with washing powder

If you don't use enough washing powder, it simply won't be able to cope with dirt and odors. But too much detergent won't do any good either - the excess will remain on the fabrics.

Abandoned clothes

If you don't want your clothes to smell bad, remove them from the washing machine immediately after washing instead of leaving them in the drum indefinitely.

Earlier we shared a trick that will help you wash a blanket or throw if they don’t fit in the washing machine.
