Most often, towels lose their fluffiness due to care errors.
But if you know a few tricks, you can quickly and easily restore softness to old and hard terry towels.
There are four effective ways that require minimal effort.
Vinegar
Just 50 ml of table vinegar should be diluted in 5 liters of warm water. Leave the items in this solution for a few minutes.
However, you shouldn’t use apple or grape vinegar, otherwise it will add extra hassle.
Salt
Regular salt will also help to restore softness. It is necessary to dilute only 100 g of bulk product in a basin with 5 liters of water. Both sea and table salt can be used.
After the procedure, it is advisable to rinse the towels in clean water to remove any remaining product that may have been absorbed.
Soda
This is another universal remedy that saves housewives in solving household problems. Soda will also help soften water during washing, as well as improve the condition of things.
Towels should be soaked in the soda solution after the main wash. It is better to leave the towels in the solution overnight and in cold water.
Cold water
Sometimes you can do without additional means when you need to straighten the fibers. It is enough to soak the items in cold water after washing to remove the remains of detergents from the pile.
It is advisable to leave the towels in clean cold water overnight and then dry them.
