In order for knitted items to serve as long as possible, they need to be carefully looked after. Proper washing, drying, ironing and storage will help extend their service life.
The housewives were told how to properly dispose of such things.
Washing
Items are washed inside out, preferably by hand.
You can wash clothes with lanolin soap or special products. In extreme cases, hair shampoo will do, and instead of conditioner, you can use hair balm.
You cannot wash or wring out knitted items; it is better to soak them first.
The water temperature should not be higher than 30 degrees Celsius.
Drying
Heating devices are definitely not suitable for this.
Drying takes place in the fresh air and only in a horizontal plane.
Ironing
It is impossible to treat knitted items with a hot iron. It is best to use a steamer.
Iron knitted items only after they are completely dry.
Storage
It is best to put clothes on shelves. On hangers they stretch and deform.
Let's not forget about measures to prevent the appearance of moths.
