Cleaning your chimney is very important if you don't want to breathe ash or have poor draft.
The chimney can be cleaned mechanically using a special brush or weight.
Also, some owners of country houses use special vacuum cleaners.
But these methods can be called relatively radical and "dirty". We offer a folk method.
How else can you clean the chimney at your dacha?
The most well-known method of cleaning the chimney from soot is burning aspen firewood in the firebox. This wood produces intense heat and powerful draft, which is formed during combustion.
After burning these logs in the chimney, the soot gets very hot and simply flies out into the pipe. When burning, it is very important to remember safety precautions to prevent a fire.
Please note that aspen firewood does not light well, so you may need to add birch or pine firewood first.
Aspen firewood is often used as a preventative measure to prevent future stove problems.
