How to season a frying pan correctly

First, wash the dishes thoroughly with dishwashing detergent to remove any remaining grease.

Secondly, the cleaned frying pan needs to be heated or, as people say, calcined.

Thirdly, when the utensils are heated, rock salt is poured into them – enough to cover the entire bottom in an even layer.

Continue heating the frying pan with salt over low heat.

How long to heat

After this, the calcination continues for about 10 minutes. During this time, the salt must be stirred.

The pan should turn yellowish and a faint smoke should appear above the surface. Now you can turn off the heat.

What to do next

What to do with salt – you can throw it away, or you can use it for household purposes.

But the frying pan will need to be wiped with a paper towel.

Then you need to drop a little vegetable oil, coat the frying pan, put it on the fire and heat it well.

After it has cooled down, you need to remove the remaining oil with a napkin and you can cook food.
