If you use the stove regularly, you need to clean the chimney at least twice a year.
If the oven is new, the first cleaning should be done no later than 18 months.
To prevent soot from accumulating in the chimney, it is recommended to periodically add three to four handfuls of potato peelings to the fire.
You can use both fresh and dry peelings.
The starch contained in potatoes helps to self-clean the chimney.
Of course, potato peelings are not a panacea, but burning them regularly will significantly delay the need for mechanical cleaning of the chimney.
