Household appliances, tools and other devices cannot always be used exclusively for their intended purpose.
The same rule applies to Vaseline. If you have a bottle of this product lying around in your medicine cabinet, you can use it in any of the ways described below.
1. Try using Vaseline as a lubricant for candlesticks.
If you often light candles, you have probably noticed how difficult it is to clean the candlestick from the wax that sticks to it. Lubricating the candlestick with Vaseline will easily solve this problem.
2. Vaseline can also be a great paint protector.
If, during renovation work, you suddenly find that you have run out of masking tape, which is usually used to protect surfaces from paint getting on them, replace it with Vaseline.
The drugstore product is easy to apply to uneven surfaces, it leaves no traces and is easily removed along with accidental drops of paint.
3. Get rid of squeaking with Vaseline.
There are many objects in any apartment that can make a creaking sound, but most often the ear-piercing sound comes from interior doors or cabinet doors.
Arm yourself with a brush and apply Vaseline to the fittings, after which the creaking will disappear.
