How experienced beekeepers distinguish natural honey from surrogate: take note

Honey sold in the market and stores is far from a natural product – in fact, it is simply a sugar substitute.

For this reason, many people prefer to buy honey from beekeepers they know personally.

If you don’t have such friends, then you need to learn how to distinguish fake honey from real honey.

First of all, pay attention to the consistency - look closely at the sweet mass. Its consistency should be uniform, transparent and not very thick.

Next, pay attention to the taste and aroma. The natural product has a bright, slightly tart taste. After tasting, your throat will feel a little sore. The surrogate smells distinctly of caramel.

If you can't identify a fake, don't rush to buy it in huge quantities. Buy a small jar and do a simple test at home.

Dip a piece of bread in honey for 10-12 minutes - if it softens, then it is sugar syrup. In natural honey, bread hardens.
