Tulle, especially in the kitchen, does not remain snow-white for long. Under the influence of sunlight, as well as steam and soot, it quickly turns yellow.
Frequent washing with the wrong powder, as any housewife knows, can make the curtain grey.
However, you can restore the original whiteness at home, and in a very simple way.
There is a popular belief that you can wash a yellowed or grey curtain using this product.
To prepare the mixture you will need:
- 70 grams of laundry soap;
- a few grams of potassium permanganate;
- hot water.
You can use liquid soap, or you can shave a bar. The ingredients are mixed in a suitable container and in hot water.
It is also important to whisk the solution thoroughly to achieve a uniform brown color.
Then the soiled tulle is soaked here for 1-2 hours, depending on the situation.
Then the material is wrung out and sent to be washed, selecting a delicate cycle.
Experience shows that after washing, curtains look whiter than white, almost like new.
