A former hotel employee told reporters how things really are. There are two reasons why you don't need to make your bed.
Firstly, the maid will have to spend time removing the bedspreads and pillows. During this time, the cleaning lady would have had time to make a new set of bed linen.
The second reason is much worse. Many hotels try to save money, and busy maids take advantage of any opportunity to make their job easier. For example, according to the rules of many hotels, they may not change bed linen if it has not been used.
As a result, there is less laundry and the maid will finish her work in the room faster. Seeing that the bed is neatly made, the cleaning lady may decide that it has not been slept on. As a result, the next guest will either make a scene or will not notice the trick and will sleep on dirty linen.
