A simple recipe will save you from going to the store for harsh chemicals.
Garden paths always add attractiveness points to a plot. Such territory always looks more well-groomed.
But the grass makes its way to the surface in almost all cases. Tiles or stones do not always stop weeds, which greatly spoil the appearance of the garden path.
Weeds on the plot
Boiling water is a budget and simple way to combat weeds. But this method is not the most effective, although some summer residents limit themselves to hot water only.
Many gardeners do not believe in folk remedies, so they buy chemicals. Special compounds are designed to completely destroy unwanted vegetation on the site. The option is effective, but far from the most economical.
An effective and budget-friendly way
Thrifty gardeners use a simple mixture every season that consists of 3 ingredients:
- 200 g table salt;
- 100 ml dishwashing detergent;
- 180 ml 70% acetic acid.
Mix the three components in 5 liters of water. Apply the liquid to the weeds using a watering can or sprayer. A day after application, all that remains is to pull the withered grass out of the ground.
