To remove all dirt, restore freshness to clothes and at the same time not to spend too much electricity is the dream of many thrifty housewives.

Modern washing machines have several modes, which are good in their own way. But among them there is the best option, which allows you to wash things and save money.

Experts from the Express publication have told us about the washing mode that uses the least amount of electricity.

The most economical washing mode

Each wash cycle is a combination of 3 things:

  • temperature;
  • water;
  • time.

The most expensive process is considered to be heating water (up to 90% of energy consumption). Rotating the drum requires less electricity. Therefore, experts believe that washing in eco mode is the most economical.

What is the advantage?

Eco mode requires less water and a lower temperature. But it also takes longer to wash. Therefore, this option is more economical than a quick wash in hot water.

At low temperatures, energy consumption is reduced by 35-39%. But there is a downside. Washing time increases.

Alternative option

If your machine does not have an eco mode, you can create approximate conditions. It is enough to simply not set the water temperature above 30 degrees.
