The lighter the shoes, the more carefully you need to take care of them, as dust and scratches risk turning into a stubborn stain. We'll tell you how to wash sneakers so that the material and sole always remain white.

These tips will help restore the lost shine even to worn shoes.

Any cleaning should begin with the shoes being put in order. Sometimes it is enough to just wipe off the dust with a damp cloth, and sometimes you can’t do without machine washing.

To prevent your shoes from ruining the machine and from coming unglued, follow these simple tips.

1. Rinse the sole thoroughly and remove any dried dirt.

2. Remove the insoles and take out the laces.

3. Choose a washing mode with a water temperature of 40 degrees Celsius maximum, otherwise the sneakers will definitely come apart. Hand or delicate washing mode.

4. Don’t get carried away with household chemicals and detergents – they should be used to a minimum.

5. In addition to shoes, you will need to load soft rags into the drum, such as old terry towels, which will protect both the shoes and the washing machine from damage during the spin cycle.

6. You can wash no more than 2-3 pairs at a time, and it is advisable to place each pair in separate laundry bags or pillowcases.

To whiten the sole, after washing, you need to treat it with hydrogen peroxide, 9% vinegar or whitening toothpaste.

It is believed that the safest and most effective method is peroxide.
