For amateur cooks, a bottle of vinegar lasts a long time, but for summer residents, this remedy does not last long during the height of the season.
Shish kebabs and home-canned food are not the only options for using vinegar. Experienced gardeners use it in gardening.
Against weeds
The paths give the area a well-groomed appearance – it is immediately obvious that people often visit the dacha.
But weeds tend to nullify all efforts to improve the area. Grass breaks through the joints of tiles or grows even through a layer of crushed stone or gravel.
To slow down the growth of weeds, summer residents spray the grass with vinegar.
From insects
If there are a lot of midges on the site, summer residents prepare a mixture of apple cider vinegar (2 tbsp), warm water (1/2 cup), sugar (1 tbsp) and dishwashing liquid (1/2 tsp). The smell of the mixture attracts midges, which fall into the soapy water and drown.
For cleaning inventory
Knives, shovels, rakes and other equipment rust over time. But the tools will become like new again if you soak them in vinegar overnight and then scrub them with a sponge or brush.
