Curtains not only complement the interior of the room, but also protect the apartment's inhabitants from street dust.

Over time, tulle becomes yellowish or greyish, which is especially visible on light-colored curtains.

Experienced housewives know how to restore the original purity of a product, including how to restore the lost snow-whiteness of tulle.

Using this old method, the curtain will last for many years and will delight you with its cleanliness and chic appearance.

How to get rid of grayness

Soda and citric acid is a mixture that has been tested for years. Housewives pour warm water into a basin, add 50 g of citric acid and 2 tbsp. soda. The curtains are left in the resulting solution for 30 minutes.

After soaking, the tulle is gently wrung out and machine washed in the usual way.

How to get rid of yellowness

The method works even with tulle that hangs in the kitchen. Here the curtain is constantly attacked by grease, soot, dust.

Pour 10 liters of warm water into a basin, then dilute 3 tbsp. hydrogen peroxide (3%) and 2 tbsp. ammonia.

The tulle is soaked in the resulting solution for 30 minutes. Then rinsed, wrung out and dried. However, it should be remembered that ammonia and peroxide only bleach tulle made of organza and cotton.
