Since time immemorial, rings have been given special meaning, some were even attributed with protective properties.
But many people have the amulet ring “Save and Preserve”, but not everyone knows how to wear it.
There are no strict instructions here, however, there are some recommendations.
Some important rules
The owner of the ring must not lose contact with God, live with honor, devote time to the spiritual side and pray to the Higher Powers more often.
Such a ring is always worn with the engraving facing upwards (if it is not internal).
It is advisable to wear such a talisman on the right hand. After all, in Orthodoxy this hand, which is closest to God, is used for making the sign of the cross.
It is important that the protective ring be consecrated in a church. It is even better to ask a priest to read a prayer over it after purchasing it.
According to church canons, such a ring should be made of silver. There should be no additional engravings or inlays.
If such a ring was given to a person and the size was clearly wrong, it is not forbidden to have it adjusted by a craftsman with a second church consecration.
It is acceptable to wear such rings on a chain, hanging them around the neck as a pendant.
But you can't combine them with a cross. The chain needs to be individual, and it would be good if it were also silver. In extreme cases, a simple consecrated cord from a church shop will do.
