It is believed that the traditional gift for this spring holiday is flowers. But it is not always easy to choose a bouquet.

In addition, it is necessary to take into account that it is not only the type of flowers that is important. The fact is that the plants that are used to make bouquets for March 8 can cause health problems.

Specialist Natalia Logacheva spoke about this in more detail, the Izvestia publication reports.

She noted that the main problem when choosing plants is that they can provoke an allergic reaction with their pollen and aroma. Most often in this case we are talking about cereals and eucalyptus, which are added to flower arrangements.

The second group of plants that also cause allergies are primroses. For example, crocuses, hyacinths or primroses.

Plants that have light pollen can also be dangerous. These are daisies, gypsophila, chrysanthemums, and so on.

It is worth remembering that there are also plants that, with their strong smell, begin to provoke a headache if left indoors. These are lilies, calla lilies, bird cherry, geranium, and so on.

A safer bouquet would be to choose daffodils, roses and tulips.
