Loss of whiteness is typical not only for cheap but also for expensive fabrics.
Over time, this happens to any white bed linen. The items gradually lose their whiteness, acquiring a grayish tint.
Often this happens due to improper care of bed linen. There is a simple way to return the products to their original appearance.
You won't need any chlorine-containing products for this. You can do without the old method of boiling.
How to restore whiteness to sheets
It is enough to soak the product in a solution of potassium permanganate. You need to prepare a basin. Pour water into it and add a little potassium permanganate so that the liquid acquires a slight pinkish tint.
Add 2 tbsp of grated or liquid laundry soap to the solution. Soak the sheets for at least 2 hours and then machine wash as usual.
The authors of the trick claim that a combination of potassium permanganate and soap will return the fabric to its former whiteness.
