Among the many options for cleaning the inner walls of the oven from carbon deposits and stuck fat, housewives choose industrial developments or folk compositions.
If we talk about folk advice, then soda, lemon and citric acid are most often used, and ammonia is used less often.
By the way, many housewives believe that the option with ammonia is the most effective. But due to its specific smell, not everyone uses it.
How to clean
So, in order to clean the oven from carbon deposits and solidified fat, you will need:
- 200 ml of ammonia;
- 1 l of water;
- 20 g baking soda.
Step 1
First, you need to preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius, and before you start using ammonia, ensure fresh air. Be sure to open a window.
Step 2
Pour ammonia into a suitable bowl, pour water into a separate bowl, turn off the oven and place both compositions inside.
Step 3
Close the oven and leave the ammonia and water inside until the oven cools down. In particularly severe cases, it is better to leave the ammonia in the oven for 10-12 hours.
Step 4
Take a damp cloth and, adding a little soda, clean the cooled oven and baking trays.
It is important to remember safety precautions and use a respirator and gloves when working with ammonia.
