In some houses you can see bowls or small containers with salt on the windowsill.
This design may resemble a talisman, but in reality it has nothing in common with love spells and omens.
The question arises: why store salt on the windowsill?
This is why housewives do it
Some people store salt on the windowsill in bulk, in small jars and containers. Usually such containers appear in houses in the autumn-winter period, when it is cold and frosty outside, and heat is supplied to the houses.
Housewives keep salt on the windowsill to combat indoor humidity and condensation on windows when water drops form and start to flow down the glass. And puddles and yellow spots appear on the windowsills.
If you don’t remove the water in a timely manner, you may end up with mold appearing, which will have a negative impact on your health.
To avoid such troubles, take any container, pour salt and put it on the windowsill. The salt will quickly absorb moisture and will not allow condensation to linger on the glass and flow down onto the plastic.
Used salt is not thrown away, but dried in the oven and put back into use.
