One of the reasons that can cause a washing machine to break down is mold. If this happens, do not rush to take it for repair.
Getting rid of this problem is not very easy, but it is possible.
First of all, it is necessary to deprive the mold of comfortable conditions using high temperatures, chlorine and vinegar.
If mold is just starting to appear, run the empty machine and set the water temperature to high, up to 95 degrees.
To increase effectiveness, add a product that contains chlorine or 9% vinegar.
Set the program that takes the longest to wash and select the water increase mode.
If there is no such mode, add 10 liters of water manually through the powder receiver.
Pause when the liquid in the machine has warmed up and leave it for a few hours.
Then let the machine finish washing and run the next one at 40 degrees, adding 0.5 liters of vinegar.
To get rid of the strong smell of vinegar, run a couple more high-temperature washes. Then wash away the mold and scale with a sponge.
