Taking care of natural fabrics is not an easy task. Any mistake can result in deformation of the woolen item.
Most often, items that have shrunk after washing are thrown away, but there is an effective way to return clothes to their original appearance.
To do this, you should prepare a special vinegar-based solution.
Combine 1 part acetic acid and 3 parts regular water in a suitable container.
Pour the resulting mixture into a spray bottle and spray the woolen product.
A cardigan, sweater or trousers should be gradually stretched to the desired size and dried thoroughly.
Alternatively, soak the items in the same vinegar solution, prepared from 10 liters of water and 200 ml of acid.
If the damage is minor, rinse the item, squeeze it out gently and dry it. In difficult cases, it is permissible to soak the woolen fabric for 10 hours and then boil it for half an hour.
Remove as much water as possible, lay the garment on a dry cloth and dry with an iron through cheesecloth, giving the garment its shape.
