5 ways to protect your stove from grease and soot: save time and effort on cleaning

Most often in the kitchen you have to clean the stove. Cooking is unthinkable without splashes of hot oil and fat, as well as boiling milk, coffee or first courses.

It is not always possible to remove stains immediately, and by the time you get around to cleaning, the stains have dried and become more difficult to clean.

In fact, this is not such a problem if you treat the slab with special solutions.

1. The easiest option is to cover the surface with a sheet of foil, which after cooking will simply have to be thrown away. In this case, the stove does not require special treatment. You just need to cut holes for the burners in the foil.

In a similar way, you can use fiberglass, which, unlike foil, can be used repeatedly.

2. The cheapest option. It is enough to simply apply Vaseline to the surface of the stove and even run-over milk will not take long to wash off, as well as splashes of fat or oil.

3. This is a bit of a labor-intensive but effective way to protect the stove from dirt. To do this, simply sprinkle the hob with baking soda powder. Even if grease or other food spills end up on the hob, the baking soda will absorb them. It will be easier to remove baking soda from the hob than to scrub off food residue.

4. Take a glass of clean water, add 2-3 tablespoons of soda, washing powder and office glue. Mix the solution until smooth and apply a thin layer to the stove. After that, it will be easier to wipe off soot and grease.

5. And the last option is to rub the hob with liquid soap before cooking.

But in any of these cases, you need to try to remove the dirt without waiting for it to dry completely. This applies primarily to glass surfaces.
