If you put a bay leaf in the washing machine along with your laundry, you can restore the color of your clothes that have faded during the wash cycle.
This remedy is in demand not only in cooking. In solving a number of household issues, laurel simply has no equal. Linen is not simply soaked in the decoction, but also washed with a leaf.
How to wash
There are several time-tested techniques. However, in any case, you should not throw dry leaves into the drum as is. They will break, crumble, and then you will have to scoop out the debris from the laundry and drain filter. To avoid trouble, put the leaf in a bag made of natural and non-fading fabric.
Technique one
Prepare a bag, 10 bay leaves, 4 tablespoons of soda. Mix and put in a bag, which you put in the drum with the clothes. In this case, the colors of the fabrics will remain as bright after washing as they were.
Technique two
Pour 10 bay leaves with water, bring to a boil and add 4 tbsp. baking soda. Let the decoction brew and cool, then pour the infusion into a basin with laundry and leave it overnight. Then wash as usual.
