There is a common belief among most housewives that washing a feather-filled pillow is a long and troublesome process.

However, in reality it turns out that this is not the case at all.

If you are inspired by the idea of putting your clothes in order, you can do it yourself, without resorting to a washing machine or dry cleaner.

First, beat the pillow thoroughly to get rid of any dust that has accumulated there.

After this, slightly rip the seam and place the feathers in the pre-prepared bags. Each of them should be carefully tied.

Important: do not stuff the bags too tightly – the cleaning solution must be able to penetrate through the thickness of the filler.

Place the bags in a basin or bath filled with water with some liquid detergent and leave them there for 15 minutes.

After a quarter of an hour, carefully remember the contents of the pillowcase, do not wring out the bags. At the end of the wash, rinse the feathers several times.

To dry the down, it should be removed from the bags and spread out in a thin layer on a flat surface. If you find tangles, they should be broken up with your hands. Don't forget to put gauze over the feathers so that they don't fly in different directions.
