A serious incident occurred in the Italian football championship. It happened during Sunday's match between Fiorentina and Inter.
It was a match of the 14th round of the championship. The teams did not finish it - one of the players of the Florentine club had a heart attack.
Currently, according to Italian media, 22-year-old Edoardo Bove is in the hospital's intensive care unit.
The guy lost consciousness in the 17th minute of the match. After the fall, the midfielder was surrounded by players and club staff.
Thus, he was hidden from cameras and spectators while receiving medical assistance.
He was then carried out on a stretcher and taken to the hospital by ambulance.
As far as is known, the footballer regained consciousness in a medical facility.
Some publications write that Bove suffered cardiac arrest and an epileptic seizure.
According to them, he is currently under anesthesia in intensive care.
Bove was admitted to the emergency department in a hemodynamically stable condition, and the first cardiological and neurological examinations ruled out acute damage to the central nervous system and the cardiorespiratory system, the Italian news agency ANSA reports.
It is reported that the player will undergo a re-examination within 24 hours.
The match between Fiorentina and Inter Milan has been postponed to a date to be announced later.
