Irina Bolgar, the mother of three children of Telegram founder Pavel Durov, stated that the messenger is their jointly acquired property.
She published this statement on the social network Instagram (banned in Russia, owned by the Meta company, which is recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation), as reported by TUT.NOVOSTI .
How Bolgar Claims Her Rights to Telegram
Bolgar said that all significant family assets were registered in Durov’s name.
According to the mother of the children of the Telegram founder, she was given promises that she and the children would always have access to these assets and jointly acquired property.
Including the main asset, Telegram, which was registered only in his name, ” Bolgar wrote.
She also stated that Durov violated all their agreements and did not fulfill his promises.
The mother of Durov's children noted that in a number of countries, unregistered relationships are considered official marriages when it comes to property rights.
In other countries, Bolgar continued, it is possible to recognize a common-law marriage as official and demand the division of jointly acquired property in accordance with civil law.
Some countries have already solved this problem, in others people have to fight for their rights in court, she added.
