The Gomel District Prosecutor's Office, while monitoring the Internet, discovered recordings of speeches by fascist leaders on the Yandex.Music service.
There, prosecutors also discovered extremist musical compositions.
In particular, recordings of speeches by Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini, as well as images of these individuals, were publicly available.
The press service of the Prosecutor General's Office of Belarus reports this, noting that in the republic the dissemination of Nazi ideology is qualified as its justification.
Also, the report says, the said service contained musical compositions that were recognized as extremist materials in Belarus.
The press service noted that it is prohibited to distribute, publicly display, manufacture, store and transport extremist materials in the republic.
In order to prevent the rehabilitation of Nazism and combat extremism, the prosecutor of the Gomel district sent a representation to YandexBel LLC, the supervisory agency reported.
It requires the removal of recordings of speeches by fascist leaders and musical compositions recognized as extremist materials (TOR BAND, content of the Malanka Media community, etc.).
The supervisory act was carried out in full, the Prosecutor General’s Office summed up.
