A resident of the American town of Old Mystic, Katie Jung, received the nickname "The Corset Queen".
And all because the American woman, born in 1937, has not parted with this wardrobe item for many years.
Katie first tried on a corset on her wedding day – the celebration took place back in 1959, when the girl was 22 years old.
Jung's husband was an orthopedic surgeon. They had three children together.
And when the woman turned 45, she decided to wear the corset all the time, practically never taking it off - by that time her children had already grown up and were living separately, and nothing was holding her back.
The only exception to wearing a corset is a shower room or unbearably hot weather. In any case, she is prepared to spend no more than a few dozen minutes without a corset.
As a result, the woman's waist was reduced to incredible sizes.
It measures just 38.1 cm, which is about the same circumference as a regular jar of mayonnaise.
It was thanks to her proportions – 98-38-98 – that Katie Jung was included in the Guinness Book of Records as the owner of the thinnest waist in the world.
