Retired soldier Canistus Kunge, 62, from Sri Lanka, underwent surgery to remove kidney stones.

It is unlikely that the man could have imagined that after waking up from anesthesia, he would become a celebrity in the Guinness Book of Records.

The thing is that the stone removed from the right kidney broke two world records at once.

It was described as the largest kidney stone ever recorded in the world.

Its length was 13.37 cm, and its width was 10.55 cm. This is larger than the Kunge kidney itself, the length of whose biofield is 11.8 cm.

The previous record, let us recall, was set in 2004. Then the same operation was performed on a resident of India, whose name is Vilas Kuge. Doctors removed a 13 cm stone from his kidney.

In addition, the Kunge stone is the heaviest in the world, as it weighs 800 grams. This is about the same as five baseballs.

Previously, the record holder was a stone removed from the kidney of Pakistani Wazir Muhammad. Doctors removed it in 2008. After weighing the stone, they found that it weighed 620 grams.
