Chicken eggs are not the largest. Other poultry lay larger eggs.

But chicken eggs are the most popular, the most affordable and not the smallest.

As for size, the chicken of Georgian farmer Murman Modebadze has destroyed all stereotypes about the size and weight of laying hens' eggs.

As a result, in 2011, a chicken in the Zestafoni region of Georgia set a world record.

The event was initially recorded in the protocols of the Georgian Union of World Achievements and Travel.

This was not enough for citizen Modebadze. He hid the egg in the refrigerator and submitted an application to the Guinness Book of Records.

At the same time, the farmer did not regret the 600 dollars he had to pay to register his achievement in the famous Book.

But thanks to the persistence of the Georgian poultry breeder, it was possible to find out that the chickens can lay eggs weighing 170 grams (length 8.2 cm, width 6.2 cm).

For comparison, the average egg weight ranges from 35 to 75 grams.

But the name of the record-breaking chicken was forgotten.

Before this incident, the record egg was laid in the UK weighing 163 grams but measuring 11.5 cm in height.
