The Guinness Book of Records has added another impressive achievement.
New Zealander Leslie Harris has been named the world's oldest motorcycle racer.
In 2023, on the eve of his 98th birthday, he took part in the annual motorcycle festival held in Auckland.
This brave man not only demonstrated his passion for motorcycles, but also broke records, leaving his loved ones behind.
We are talking about his 64-year-old son Rod and 21-year-old granddaughter Olivia, who also took part in the race.
Leslie finished fourth, while Olivia finished 21st and Rod came in eighth.
This result was a real confirmation that age is just a number, and passion and desire for life are not subject to any restrictions.
Rod Harris describes his father as a "very active" man who still competes and intends to continue doing so as long as he can ride a motorcycle.
Leslie first hit the track in 1953 and has since produced some outstanding results.
So, in 2019, at the age of 93, he won a race in New Zealand, demonstrating excellent physical fitness and motorcycle riding skills.
Unfortunately, after this victory he had to undergo hip surgery, which forced him to temporarily put his career on hold.
However, with most of the COVID-19 restrictions lifted in New Zealand, Leslie has been able to return to his beloved hobby and win awards once again.
