Getting into the Guinness Book of Records is a dream and a lifelong pursuit for some. For others, it may be an accident or a coincidence.
An example is the artist and comedian Nick Stoeberl from California. He was destined by nature itself to become a record holder in his own right.
Stoberl became a record holder thanks to his long tongue, in the literal sense of the word.
He officially has the longest tongue in the world.
From the tip to the middle of the upper lip, the length is 10.1 cm.
Until now, the record holder was Briton Stephen Taylor, whose tongue in a similar state was 9.8 cm long.
Nick's achievement was officially registered in the Guinness Book of Records in 2015.
The record was set in a sense thanks to the work of the famous metal band KISS.
Even as a child, Nick loved to imitate Gene Simmons, taking pictures with his tongue sticking out.
One day he realized that his tongue was noticeably longer than that of his peers.
Then he realized that he could reach his nose with his tongue, and if he couldn’t bite himself, he could certainly lick his elbow.
However, the advantage also has a disadvantage. Stoberl has to spend more time cleaning his tongue in the morning.
