A 58-year-old Canadian woman held the plank for 4.5 hours and became a record holder among women.

Slender and smiling Donna-Jean Wilde, who you can hardly call a grandmother, became a record holder thanks to her own perseverance and the support of her family.

She has 12 grandchildren, aged between one and 12, who gathered with their parents and grandfather to support her during the record-setting attempt.

Donna-Jean Wilde was a school teacher for many years and recently retired.

About 12 years ago, she had a bad fall and broke her wrist, so she had to stop active sports for a while.

But it turned out that even with a cast on her arm, she could do the plank exercise, and she began to practice, gradually increasing the time of the exercise.

As a result, Donna-Jean now devotes 2-3 hours every day to the “plank”, considering it her usual daily workout.

However, setting the record was not easy for her – the last half hour, the woman admitted, tried to breathe, stay calm and not shake.

She couldn't afford to lose face in front of her assembled grandchildren and students and managed to hold the plank for 4 hours, 30 minutes and 11 seconds.
