Which artist's concert could attract more than a million people?
The first to come to mind are legendary bands such as The Beatles and Queen.
A lot of people actually came to see these bands perform.
However, the real record holder in terms of concert attendance is the French multi-instrumentalist Jean-Michel Jarre.
Throughout his career, he has held… four million-selling concerts.
Thanks to this, the musician got into the Guinness Book of Records.
Concerts of Jean-Michel Jarre
The musician set his first “concert” record in 1979.
Then he performed at the Place de la Concorde in Paris. The number of spectators present was 1 million.
Seven years later, Jarre broke his own record by giving a concert in the American city of Houston. The event was attended by 1.3 million people.
In 1991, the previous record was almost doubled. The achievement was recorded at a concert in Paris: 2.5 million spectators.
Jean-Michel Jarre held his most massive concert in 1997 in Moscow. That performance of the Frenchman was seen by 3.5 million people. However, the data is unofficial.
