He came up with the idea for the Longplayer composition, which has been playing for almost a quarter of a century and may well not be completed before the end of the current millennium.

The piece is based on a song that lasts 20 minutes and 20 seconds.
From this composition, the computer generates a new one: the device offers a huge number of options that follow one another without interruption.
The song began to sound on the first day of the year 2000. According to the plan, the last chords of the unusual musical work will sound in 2999.
In other words, the total duration of the song should be 1000 years.
