One way to make a name for yourself if you haven't been blessed with creative skills is to get into the Guinness Book of Records.
There are enough feats collected here, including sporting ones, including ridiculous ones.
One of these eccentrics was the Japanese Kenichi Ito, who ran 100 meters on all fours, imitating the running of some tribe of monkeys.
The record holder sincerely hoped that his sport would be of interest and included in the Olympic program, but it did not work out.
Christopher Irmscher followed in his footsteps. He also ran the 100-meter dash, but with obstacles and also in a rather unusual way.
He ran the distance on two legs, but only with fins.
He managed to do this in just 14.82 seconds.
Naturally, before Christopher, no professional or even amateur athlete had traveled in this way.
Therefore, the record was counted and entered into that very Book.
Let us recall that the Book of Records itself was published in 1955.
