No one is surprised anymore by the cost of dishes, which amounts to hundreds of US dollars.
But this is only the order of the day when it comes to so-called haute cuisine and dishes that come from the light hand of famous culinary masters. In reality, even fast food breaks records.
We'll tell you where and when in the world the most expensive hot dog, or sausage in dough as we call it, was sold.
Fast food products have become especially popular in the United States.
They say that there is even a hot dog day here, celebrated on July 18th.
However, the record for the famous Guinness Book was not registered at one of these events.
It happened on February 23, 2014 in the city of Seattle.
It was here that the hot dog that is still considered the most expensive in the world was prepared and sold.
It was sold for $169.
The fast food included:
marbled beef from Japan;
caviar (origin not specified);
foie gras;
black truffles.
It is interesting that the Americans have broken the record for the most expensive food from public catering, which they themselves had previously set.
