There are many zoos in the world, in almost every large city and especially in capitals. But not every one of them will be a landmark.

Firstly, not every zoo provides its animals with such conditions that they do not feel captive and can be looked at without pity.

Secondly, many adults believe that zoos are entertainment for children. To refute these claims, we have compiled a list of the most unique and interesting zoos in the world.

Singapore Zoo, Singapore

The Singapore Zoo is considered one of the largest open parks, that is, located in a natural environment.

The Singapore Zoo, with a total area of 28 hectares and located in a tropical forest, is truly unique, as communication between humans and animals can be quite close and unmediated.

The most exotic animals are kept here, their stay here is comfortable, and the conditions are as close to real as possible.

Ranua Zoo, Finland

This ZOO is especially notable for its location, as it is one of the northernmost, located in Lapland.

Hundreds of arctic animals live here in their natural environment. Ranua Zoo offers its guests the opportunity to get to know the inhabitants by riding snowmobiles or on sleds pulled by dogs or reindeer.

London Zoo, UK

One of the oldest zoos in the world, opened to the public in 1847, it was previously a scientific zoo and was only accessible to students and scientists.

London ZOO was a pioneer in many ways: it opened the world's first terrarium, the first public aquarium and the first insectarium (a room for keeping and breeding insects).

Prague Zoo, Czech Republic

Prague Zoo is the best in many ways: it has been repeatedly named the best in Europe, one of the most visited in the world, and so on. Prague Zoo specializes in breeding rare and endangered species of animals and birds.

Berlin Zoo, Germany

The Berlin Zoo is the largest in Europe and almost the most famous in the world.

The ZOO covers an area of 35 hectares and is inhabited by more than one and a half thousand species of animals.

It is the most visited zoo in Europe, with 2.5 million visitors annually.
