This circumstance indicates that water has entered the vessel, the experts noted.

It is separately noted that the dry cargo ship was not overloaded.

According to Oboronlogistics, Ursa Major is one of the largest ships of this type in Russia.

The maximum load capacity is 9,500 tons, and the weight of the transported cargo did not exceed 806 tons.

It is stated that there were 2 gantry cranes, 2 crane buckets, 2 ship's hold covers on board.

Also there was a 20-foot container with capping equipment and 129 empty containers.

Let us recall that this ship, which was sailing from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok, sank in the Mediterranean Sea between Spain and Algeria.

Fourteen crew members were rescued and taken to the port of the Spanish city of Cartagena. Two more are considered missing.
