Alexander Lukashenko informed the general public about where Russian Oreshnik missile systems could be deployed in Belarus.
The head of state made the corresponding statement in the city of Borisov (Minsk region), where he visited as part of a working trip.
Speaking about the deployment of the said missile complex in the republic, the President noted: “all of this has been thought out today.”
We are now thinking about where, on what sites to place these weapons. We have preserved the sites from the deployment of strategic nuclear missiles, - the Belarusian leader's press service quotes him as saying.
In this regard, I drew attention to the following: his opponents began to call him a dictator precisely because of the circumstance mentioned above.
Not because I am a dictator, but because I did what they don't like. But you see, it came in handy, Lukashenko explained.
And then he said that there are about 30 sites for the deployment of nuclear missiles in the republic.
The site for Oreshnik will be selected taking into account its closest location to the targets.
We will place and target. You probably noticed that my condition to Putin was one: "We in Belarus will determine the targets, not the Russians. But you will help exploit them," the President said.
And he added: together, Russians and Belarusians will “press the button” if necessary.
However, the goals will be determined exclusively by Minsk. Putin, according to him, agreed.
Lukashenko also informed that the entire launcher in Oreshnik is Belarusian.
