Does your cat scream so loudly at night that your neighbors knock on the radiators, and you dream of soundproofing?
Before you get angry, understand that there are serious reasons behind this, not just pampering.
For example, older cats often scream due to senile dementia. They get lost in familiar spaces, forget where the bowl is, and call for their owner like a blind kitten.

Young pets may demand a partner - if the cat is not sterilized, her cries during estrus can be heard throughout the entire area.
But sometimes there is pain behind the screams: arthritis, kidney disease, or even hyperthyroidism, which causes constant hunger and anxiety.
One of the most insidious causes is high blood pressure. Cats with this problem have poor vision, every rustle scares them, and they scream in fear.
If your pet suddenly starts screaming, hide all sources of loud sounds: turn off the TV, close the windows.
Place food and water bowls in an easily accessible place - perhaps the cat is crying from hunger, but cannot reach the food due to joint pain.
Buy a pheromone diffuser: it sprays artificial “calming” scents that mimic those that kittens emit when feeding. This will relieve anxiety even in the most nervous pet.
If the screaming doesn't stop, have your cat "investigate." Put a camera on when you leave the house: what if she screams only when she's alone? This behavior indicates separation anxiety.
Get her used to your absence gradually: leave for 5 minutes, then 10, always returning before she starts to panic.
Leave the radio on - human voices will create the illusion of company. And hide treats around the house - the search will distract the cat from fear.
But what if your cat screams for no apparent reason, even when you're around? Maybe she's bored. Buy an interactive toy, like a moving mouse, or install a bird feeder by the window. Bird watching is the best entertainment for a domestic predator.
And don’t forget to play with your pet before bed: 15 minutes of active hunting for a fishing rod-feather - and the cat will sleep until the morning like a baby.
