But research has shown that there is a game that your cat will definitely enjoy.
Researchers from Purdue University found out what games cats like best.
They surveyed nearly 8,000 pet owners.
What was found out?
As you know, 80% of dogs love to bring a ball or other thing thrown by the owner.
And what do cats have to do with it? Oddly enough, this game is the favorite of if not the majority, then half of domestic cats.
41% of cat owners surveyed said that their pets also respond to the command "fetch". But there is one important point.
If it is a cat or dog (especially a female animal), an elderly pet (or one with health problems) or one living with other pets, then the likelihood of the command being carried out is significantly reduced.
At the same time, it was possible to find out that domestic cats, as well as cats of the Burmese, Siamese and Tonkinese breeds, are more willing to have fun in this way.
But scientists still don’t have an answer to the question of how cats became addicted to dog games.
There is an assumption that the behavior of pets is connected precisely with the game, and not with the hunting instinct.
