Sometimes cats exhibit behavior that surprises or even frightens their pet owners.
The cat may start staring at one point. For example, at a certain section of the wall or at the furniture.
The pet owner may be very surprised: "What did the fluffy one see that was so interesting? There's nothing special there!"
Some people find a mystical explanation: they believe that a cat notices things that a person does not see.
In fact, there is no mysticism in the strange behavior of the purr. The four-legged friend does not see any "spirits".
Why does a cat freeze and stare at one point?
Fluffy is probably trying to concentrate.
Most likely, the animal wants to hear something rather than to see it. It is possible that the pet is sniffing something.
The cat freezes when it tenses up. This makes it easier for it to "switch on" its hearing or smell organs.
So the cat is not trying to look at some spot on the wall. The purr probably got caught by some rustle or smell.
