Look at the folds on the body
Try to gather the puppy's skin into folds. If you can do this easily, it means that the dog has some "reserve" and its body will grow. But if the skin is dense or even slightly stretched, most likely the dog will not grow larger than average.
Assess the proportions of the body
The more proportional the puppy's body, the more likely it is to be small or medium. If the puppy has a large head, a wide chest and a massive pelvis, it will probably grow into a large and heavy dog.
