Not all owners spend a lot of time choosing a bowl for their dog.
They just buy one of the first containers they come across.
But this approach is wrong. An incorrectly chosen bowl will seriously complicate the pet's life.
Don't want your four-legged friend to have difficulties when eating? Buy him a good container!
So, what should the ideal pet bowl be like?
Well fixed
It will be uncomfortable for a dog to eat from a bowl that easily slides on the floor and often tips over.
The container should be quite heavy.
If the bowl is still unstable, use a stand or a special mat. There are also bowls with rubber feet.
Made from quality material
Don't buy a bowl made of cheap plastic! Such material will emit a strong smell for the dog: the pet will obviously have problems with appetite (and, possibly, with health).
It is better to choose a metal container. But make sure that it is not too "noisy": the loud noise that occurs during eating can be very frightening for some breeds.
Correct form
Choose a bowl that is comfortable for your dog to eat from.
The shape of the container is of great importance. But there is no "universal" one.
For dogs with a flat muzzle, a wide bowl that is not very deep is ideal.
But if the dog has an elongated muzzle, then you should choose a narrow and rather deep bowl.
