A person who has decided to get a cat must prepare his home for the arrival of a pet.

Not only do you need to buy some important things (litter tray, grooming products, food packages), but you also need to put some things away.

We are talking about objects that may pose a danger to the cat.

So, what shouldn’t be in an apartment where a furry friend will soon appear?

Some indoor plants

Cats are known for their habit of gnawing on the leaves of houseplants.

Some representatives of the flora can pose a serious danger to your pet due to the content of hazardous compounds.

First of all, you need to remove dracaena, spathiphyllum and begonia from the apartment.

But there are many other plants that are poisonous to pets. Be sure to check if the flowers left in the rooms are poisonous.

Cords

Furry four-legged friends love to chew not only plants, but also electrical cords.

Remove all wires immediately or at least “hide” them in decorative boxes.

Threads and needles

A kitten that appears in the house will definitely pay attention to a ball of yarn lying on the table or sofa.

For a pet, such a "toy" can be very dangerous. Perhaps the purr will swallow a piece of thread. And if a needle is inserted into the ball, the situation will become even more dangerous.

Therefore, the corresponding things should be hidden in a locker.

Earlier we explained why a cat lies on its owner's chest.
