Unlike dogs, cats rarely greet their owner in the hallway when he returns home.
Considering this fact, many people come to the following conclusion: “Fluffy tolerates loneliness very well, you don’t even need to approach him.”
However, this is a misconception. Yes, cats are considered to be emotionless individualists.
Yet, despite their aloof behavior, these pets need daily human interaction.
What a cat owner should do every day
After each return home from work/school/meeting, a person should immediately approach the cat, pet it and, if possible, play with it.
Ignoring your furry four-legged friend will not lead to anything good.
Even phlegmatic cats feel lonely when they are alone in an apartment for hours (or even days).
And if the owner, upon returning home, does not pay any attention to the pet, then this is a serious blow for the animal.
Be sure to interact with your cat after every long period of separation.
