Walking a dog seems to many owners to be a simple "event" during which it is difficult to make any mistakes.
In fact, many pet owners make serious mistakes.
As a result, both animals and passers-by are exposed to danger.
So, what should you never do while walking your four-legged friend?
Allowing an animal to pester passers-by
Do not allow your pet to jump on passers-by or even come close to them.
Many people are afraid of dogs. And some are allergic to dog hair.
Letting the dog off the leash
This should never be done in most areas.
The problem is not only that the dog may start running up to people. It is possible that the animal will jump out onto the road.
You can let your pet off the leash only if important conditions are met: the area must be closed, fenced and safe.
Remove the muzzle
Many breeds of dogs need to wear muzzles. This device should not be removed during a walk.
And don't try to explain to passersby that your dog is "kind" and "doesn't bite." Such an argument is unlikely to satisfy strangers.
